Each period carries its own ideological struggles, crises and successes, questions, and doubts. In that context, Marina Rajšić asks the following question: Vlačić has written more than 200 books, has any of us from Labin read one? Her work consists of a ready-made building in space (a wall shelf 3 meters height, with Vlačić’s books borrowed from his memorial collection) and a multimedia installation (a table, 3 tablets showing articles from local internet portals she previously published). It covers topics which interest readers to draw them into serious information about Vlačić and the important historical facts of the city in which they live.
— Branka Arh, curator
The topic of the work, as well as the articles, is to remind the local community of Vlačić’s historical and cultural value, which is woven into Labin’s identity. His works are intellectually sublime literature, written at a time when the flow of knowledge, i.e., information in the form of books, was strictly controlled by the church. On the other hand, today knowledge is so accessible that society has become unaware of the possibilities it offers. In addition to intellectual advancement, everyday topics are chosen in the shortest and least concentration-intensive format possible. The field of interest also narrowed, and as a result, people abhor the unknown. Therefore, under the disguise of articles from the sport, science, and the world section, using ambiguous, sensationalist headlines, she educates readers of local portals on a topic for which they would not voluntarily (very likely) decide to research themselves.
